We started as PT RT Foodservice in 1985 serving as central kitchen to Es Teler 77, then the largest Indonesian fast-food chain in the country. We developed recipes, processed the meat, seafood and fruit for the chain’s 150 outlets.
We grew together with Es Teler 77 and by the 2010s was quickly outpacing the capacity of our original facility at Tekno Park, Tangerang. In 2018 we moved into our purpose-built facility at Balaraja and renamed the company as PT Raja Top Food.
This 18,000 square meter facility is designed from the ground up not only to serve Es Teler 77 but also to tap into the fast-growing food industry in Indonesia, as seen from the growing number of new restaurant chains and other outlets. By 2020 we were serving cloud kitchens, restaurant chains, private labels as well as HORECA businesses, including hotels, supermarkets and hospitals.
In March 2020, when the pandemic profoundly changed the nature of businesses, the Balaraja facility with its emphasis on health and safety protocols as well its multi-line capacity, was able to serve the cloud kitchens and online food businesses, that saw a massive growth in demand.
Today, operating under TopFood brand, we have strengthened our capabilities to provide our customers with one-stop solution in food customization, including R&D to help our customers with the development of recipes and innovative packaging to meet the challenges of the ever-changing tastes of the consumers.
